Ted Rogers School of Management - Indigenous Healing Garden, Toronto, ON
SpruceLab Inc. worked with the Ted Rogers School of Management on their Indigenous Healing Garden project, to deliver four design workshops, summary reports, and a landscape concept plan. The design was based off the findings from engagement sessions and features elements including culturally significant food and medicine planting, opportunities for art and involvement within the garden, and gathering spaces for Ceremony or other events. The garden creates a quiet and safe space for people to connect with plants and water and opportunities to share Traditional Teachings. The design is currently undergoing a feasibility study. Team members are Gary Pritchard (4 Directions of Conservation), Terence Radford (Trophic Design), Eladia Smoke (Smoke Architecture), and Jane Hayes (Garden Jane, and Hoffman Hayes). Special advisors include Dr. Diana Beresford-Kroeger, Dr. Angela Mashford-Pringle, and Jeremy Wright (ZinCo).
