Miskwaabik (Beaucage Park) Feasibility Study, North Bay ON

Nipissing First Nation (located on the north shores of Nipissing Lake, Ontario) sought to develop a strategic vision for the revitalization of their heritage park,  Miskwaabik (Beaucage Park). The Miskwaabik Feasibility Study was undertaken in 2024/2025 by KLB Consulting and White Otter Consulting, in collaboration with SpruceLab who supported early engagement, and provided Indigenous design and landscape architecture services. This study was commissioned by Nipissing First Nation to ensure developments align with community’s values, respect historic significance, and help advance economic revitalization. SpruceLab visited the site to meet with community leaders to discuss the past and present use of the park (including camping), which informed their design of a concept plan for use in project coordination and obtaining funding for this work.
