Kartik Kumar

Landscape Designer, MLA, B.Arch., LEED AP BD+C and OALA Associate

Kartik Kumar is a Landscape Designer with a Mater’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Manitoba and a Bachelor of Architecture from Guru Gobind Signh Indraprastha University in New Delhi. He earned LEED AP accreditation in Building Design & Construction early in his graduate studies. Kartik has contributed to a diverse range of projects—including public parks, private condominiums, high-end residential developments, and urban landscape planning— across India, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Oman and Canada. His education and professional experience have equipped him with a robust technical foundation, enabling the application of sustainable and resilient design principles in landscape development.

Kartik is interested in landscape architecture as a way of understanding and designing systems that connect many parts of life. He sees landscape as made up of countless elements that shape both the external world and the inner experiences of organisms, cultures, communities, individuals, and the designer. His passion lies in creating spaces that are meaningful, sustainable, and responsive to the relationships between people and their environment. He is especially drawn to the idea that landscapes are never fixed but always evolving, offering new ways to think about connection, care and design.
