Natural Infrastructure Terminology Framework

The Climate Change Committee of the Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment (CCME) engaged a consultant to conduct country-wide research on the terms and meanings used for nature-based infrastructure solutions, to help move this work forward. The effort builds on the research done previously by CCME, called Best Practices and Resources on Climate Resilient Natural Infrastructure, and the Natural Infrastructure Terminology Framework was released in Sept. 2021.

(Sheila was on the advisory committee supporting this research, and was previously interviewed and advised on the Best Practices document in 2018, where two of her City of Toronto Green Streets demonstration projects are featured: Fairford Parkette, and Raindrop Plaza).
