Laurel Creek Trail System,Waterloo

The Laurel Creek Trails are popular routes in the City of Waterloo that connect communities to Silver Lake in Waterloo Park (including the boardwalk) and to the downtown core. The trail system has grown to include cycling trails that are now part of the Trans-Canada Trail system.

Sheila worked on Laurel Creek trails planning and construction, construction standards, planting plans (including for creek revegetation), and the design of several adjacent park spaces while with the City of Waterloo’s Parks Services division (working closely with Barb Magee-Turner and Karen Anderson).
