RBG, Camilla & Peter Dalglish Atrium

The Royal Botanical Gardens Camilla & Peter Dalglish Atrium (architecture design by Diamond and Schmitt Architects, opened in 2008) is a dramatic light-filled oasis both inside and out. The landscape design by DTAH is a multipurpose space for all seasons (with barrier free access), with beautiful stone-clad fountain and water walls, the Atrium is a special events venue that is a photographer’s paradise.

While at DTAH, Sheila worked closely on the landscape design for this project with John Hillier, and was responsible for creating the construction drawings. An earlier design included terraced wetlands planted with an ecological diverse palette of native plant species, but was not constructed in the interest of maximizing useable venue space.
