SpruceLab is providing Indigenous engagement and landscape architectural services to support the development of two significant Hamilton, ON Indigenous housing projects of Sacajawea Non-profit Housing (working closely with Invisij Architects and an interdisciplinary project team led by Flourish). The resulting landscape designs will be welcoming, healing, and promote a sense of well-being throughout. They will also be informed by accessibility, safety, and sustainable design considerations (including green stormwater infrastructure and native species plantings). This work demonstrates our collaborative and culturally aware approach to engagement, critical to achieving a successful new homes for the future residents and staff.
