Creating, protecting, and restoring places are at the heart of our work, which we undertake with deep listening, dialogue, innovation, and collaboration. Places that respect Mother Earth, her waters and creatures, and are planned and designed for present and future generations to thrive. Our services include landscape architecture, planning, engagement, Indigenous co-design, and more.

See some of our projects shown below (followed by past projects of Sheila Boudreau).

Past Work Portfolio

Over two decades of experience creating resilient spaces.

SpruceLab Inc. builds on over two decades of Principal Sheila Boudreau’s professional work experience, covering a wide range of public realm projects, working in both the private and public sectors. Regardless of people, time, or place, there are constant themes that run through this work: civic scale, designing with nature, biodiversity, and healthy communities.

Training

Workshops on Indigenous awareness and green infrastructure designed to suit your needs.

We believe in building capacity in people and communities through the work that we undertake. Working with our clients and partners, we create specialized training events and/or workshops that help achieve long term social and environmental goals.

Advising

Sometimes all you need is professional advice.

We welcome all opportunities to provide professional planning and landscape architecture advice to support Indigenous and community place-based initiatives. By being actively involved in environmental and reconciliation efforts, we aim to contribute directly to a healthy future that respects Mother Earth for all.

Our volunteer services include mentoring Indigenous youth and young professionals, to offer meaningful experiential learning opportunities, with the intent of improving diversity, equity and inclusivity, and decolonizing professional practice.

SpruceLab was nominated by Eco Canada for the prestigious 2023 Eco Impact ‘Community Impact Award’, for work related to our Earth Tending program.
