MacNab Bus Terminal, Hamilton

This 2011 award winning public infrastructure designed by DTAH is a 9-bay transit facility in downtown Hamilton, with generous urban space and attention to green infrastructure. The two storey building has a green roof, bus bays were designed with green roof canopies, and planting beds included green walls. Tree plantings included soil cells with large granite block paving, allowing for passive irrigation and healthy growing conditions.

While at DTAH, Sheila was on the design team for the project working closely with Yvonne Battista, contributed to the detailed design drawings and construction inspections, with a focus on the green roofs and planting design aspects of the work.
